Updated: Mar 3, 2021

by: Syd Virtual Assistance | February 23, 2021 | Work from Home Jobs for Moms

Work from home jobs are on the rise, even before this pandemic. There are a lot of sites where you can apply to work remotely and earn at the comfort of your home. And during this pandemic, a lot of people discovered that it is possible to stay home and still earn.

As we all know some other moms preferred to give up their career to be SAHM (stay-at-home-mom) to personally take care of their children. Some others can easily give up their career when their husbands can provide for them, while some others cannot easily decide to quit their job as they may face financial problems if only one of the couple will work. Also, there are some wives or moms that even their husbands can provide and support for their family, they still want to earn on their own.

Don't worry mommas, nowadays we already have what we call WAHM or Work-from-home-mom. And you can be one too. So if you are a SAHM that needs to earn to help your husband to pay the bills, if you are  SAHM that still wants to earn on your own or just to have extra, it's time for you to be a WAHM (Work-from-home-mom).

I've listed below 5 Work From Home Jobs for Moms:

1. ESL Teaching

If you like to teach, then you can try ESL Teaching. It is one of the easiest work from home jobs for moms. You don't necessarily need to be an education graduate, as long as you know how to speak English and teach English, you can do this. Believe me! I am a Business Management graduate, however, I am doing this now as a source of income while staying and working from home. Send me a message for a referral.

2. Freelance Writing Jobs

If you have a passion for writing, then this might be for you. It can be writing a blog, an article, e-book, video script, product reviews, product description, and the like. This is also one of the work-from-home jobs that you can start to do.

3.Transcription Jobs

This type of work-from-home job requires no experience. The job requires you to turn video or audio files into written text. You would be listening to files that could be related to medical, legal, or any other field.

4. Graphic Designer

If you are creative and have the skills on Adobe or other programs this suits you. Some other clients don't require you to use Adobe. So if you are a beginner, you may use CANVA to start with. It is user-friendly and you don't need to pay if you don't want to use the Pro account.

5. Virtual Assistant

Most start-up business owners hire a virtual assistant. They hire a virtual assistant to assist them base on the needs of their business. The task could be as follows: Social media Management, Email Management, Project management, Calendar management, bookkeeping, and other related tasks.

These are just a few work from home jobs that you can choose to start with. There are a lot more than you can find online. Some sites that you may visit to find a job are  Freelancer.com, Online jobs.ph, or Upwork.

If you do not have the experience yet or background on those work from home listed, you may try to find free training or webinars online. Also, there are some in-depth courses or paid training that you can avail. It could be from QuickPro, Filipino Virtual Assistance, Coursera, and some other online academy. Just think of it as your investment for yourself. You learn and you may earn bigger from your future clients. I and my batchmates Jeannine, Irene and Deloville also enrolled at FVA Academy for a freelancing course to upskill. The course was worth it, as it helps us to be more equipped for our future work-from-jobs.

I hope this article helps you to have an idea of how to work from home and earn while staying at home.
